What We’re Building

We’re an early-stage team at the intersection of technology and law. We’re driven by a simple reality: legal work is vital to protecting everyday people, yet the industry’s tech is underdeveloped. With the rise of AI, we finally have the tools to change that.

The problem we’re solving: You’ve seen it on shows like Suits where a lawyer sits across from a witness, a camera rolls, and the questioning begins. That’s a deposition. But unlike TV, the reality involves hundreds of hours of grueling preparation, manual review, and high costs.

Deposely automates this workflow, saving lawyers and their clients significant time and money while improving their chances of success.

About this Role

This isn't just another senior role. As our Senior Software Engineer, you will be working closely with the CTO, making critical decisions on product, customers, and our technical vision. You will be expected to build and ship industry-defining features at startup speed. We are a team of ex-Big Tech engineers and senior leaders who have validated our product vision at the highest level of the legal industry. We’re looking for a partner to help us build it.

What you’ll do at Deposely:

  • Full-Stack Development: Architect and build both front-end and back-end systems, ensuring seamless integration of AI features.

  • AI & Agentic Development: Develop and integrate AI components, including language models, agentic workflows, and document analysis tools, to power core deposition functionality.

  • Product Leadership: Work closely with customers and the founding team to prioritize features and align technical work with business objectives.

  • Technical Strategy: Influence the overall technical direction, including decisions on frameworks, infrastructure, and scalability.

  • Customer Collaboration: Engage directly with customers to gather feedback, test features, and iterate on the product.

Role Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience shipping serious products end-to-end.

  • Are experienced with both front-end (React/NextJS or similar) and back-end (NestJS or similar) development.

  • Are comfortable working with LLMs, RAG pipelines, and integrating AI agents into real-world applications.

  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and excited to shape processes and structures.

  • Are passionate about building solutions that delight users and solve real problems.

  • Are able to work cross-functionally and explain technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders.

Bonus Points

  • You have worked at a high-growth SaaS company before.

  • You have prior experience in an early-stage startup.

  • Familiarity or interest in the legal tech space.

  • 45m video technical interview (system design)

  • 2.5h final in person Interview

    • 2 technical interviews

    • 1 behavioral/cultural interview

Compensation Range: $175K - $200K
