OpenTug is a digital freight management platform that brings commercial planning, voyage execution, invoice validation, and performance analytics into one connected system. We’re specifically focused on inland and coastal marine logistics, where we help teams reduce manual work, improve visibility, and make faster, data-driven decisions across the entire voyage lifecycle. Our mission is to supercharge inland marine shipping by enhancing visibility, efficiency, and connectivity. We’re a startup seeking a frontend engineer to help us digitize and revolutionize maritime shipping, making it more affordable, greener, and easier to use. Role overview

* Collaborate with fellow engineers and the executive team to design and implement intuitive features for the opentug.com web application

* Use design/prototyping tools such as Figma to design, communicate, and refine interfaces in response to customer needs

* Build and own features using SolidJS and TypeScript, working with backend engineers to integrate with our API

### Qualifications

* 3+ years SolidJS or similar reactive (e.g. ReactJS) development experience, preferably with TypeScript

* 3+ years with Figma or similar interface design tools

* Strong communication skills and an eye for design

* Experience managing performance, caching, and state in complex frontend systems

* Hard-working, self-driven, and excited to work on impactful projects in a fast-moving environment

Salary

$90,000 - $130,000 per year
