Sourcerer is the autonomous procurement platform. Our AI agents discover suppliers across the globe underwrite them with proprietary data, negotiate terms, and execute transactions end-to-end — the work of an entire global procurement organization, done by software. Some of the largest distributors and retailers in America already trust us to move real goods and real money through our platform, and demand is compounding every month.

We're backed by a16z Speedrun, Madrona, Jason Calacanis, and an angels from top labs like OpenAI. We're a small, in-person team in San Francisco, and we're hiring people who want to build the company-defining systems — not maintain someone else's.

Member of Technical Staff

San Francisco, CA · Full-time · In-person

For exceptional builders who don't fit in a box

Former founder? Research engineer? Generalist who's been the secret weapon on every team you've joined? This is the role. Member of Technical Staff means one thing at Sourcerer: you can take an impossibly ambiguous problem — "underwrite any supplier in China," "make an agent negotiate a purchase order" — and come back with a working system.

You'll work across everything: agents, data infrastructure, product, and whatever the mission demands this month. The ceiling on this role is wherever you take it.

What you'll own

  • Whatever matters most right now — agent workflows, search and scraping infrastructure across a dozen-plus countries, underwriting models, customer-facing product
  • The full loop — prototype fast, prove it with real customers, then harden it into production
  • Your own trajectory — MTS here has grown into engineering leadership, AI leadership, and staff-level IC paths. The role becomes what your work earns.

Who we're looking for

  • Exceptional technical ability — we care about what you've built, not how many years you've existed
  • Serious chops with modern AI tooling (LLMs, agents, evals) and/or hard systems engineering
  • Maximum agency: you find the problem, you solve the problem, you tell us about it after
  • You want the earliest seat possible at a company that already has real revenue and real enterprise customers

What you get

  • Competitive salary + early-stage equity calibrated to what you bring
  • Full benefits (health, dental, vision)
  • The most leverage-per-person you will find anywhere: small team, huge market, direct line to founders and customers
